Great Stars: peaches, koi and a laughing Buddha on nine lines

A pink peach with two gold coins under it is the top symbol in Great Stars: 10000 for five on a line. The game's name is written in Chinese as 吉星 (lucky star) above the reels, and the whole thing sits on a red and gold patterned background.

The other picture symbols are a golden koi, a pink lotus, a round embroidered fan with a tassel, the laughing Buddha and a many-storeyed pagoda. The card letters are drawn in a brush style, so the A, K, J and 9 look a bit like Chinese characters at first glance.

Reading the Great Stars paytable

Pays for five, four, three and two: peach 10000, 500, 50 and 10. Koi 5000, 250, 25 and 5. Lotus and fan both 1000, 150, 20 and 5. A and K pay 300, Q and J 200, 9 and 10 just 50.

The laughing Buddha is the wild. It only lands on reels 2, 3 and 4, and it doubles any win it's part of. The pagoda is the scatter: three on reels 1 to 3 or 3 to 5 give 10 free games, four give 15, five give 25, on top of 5, 10 or 100 times the bet. The bottom line reads "All lines pay either from left to right or right to left", so a line can also pay from reel 5 inwards.

Lines and stakes

The old page said 15 lines. It's 9, and the panel shows it: LINES 9 at RM0.10 is RM0.90 a spin, and at RM0.01 it's RM0.09. The hero screenshot has a 0.03 win on line 8, which is three 9s at the lowest pay. There are no jackpot counters on this game.
