88 Fortunes: gold symbols, jade symbols and four jackpot boxes

The screen is red lacquer and gold. Each jackpot box has a little cartoon child in Chinese New Year clothes on it, and REEL WAYS is written down the pillars on either side. The picture symbols come in pairs, a jade or silver version and a gold version: a phoenix, a junk ship, a turtle on a pile of coins and a stack of ingots. There's also a round gold coin, and cards from 9 up to A in red, green and orange.
What the 88 Fortunes paytable shows
The wild is a red tile with a gold 福, substitutes for all symbols and only appears on reels 2, 3 and 4. REEL WAYS means winning combinations pay left to right in any position rather than on lines. The scatter is a bronze orb in a red frame paying 50, 10 or 5 for five, four or three.
The interesting part is the paired symbols. The jade phoenix pays 50 for five, the gold phoenix 1000. The same pattern holds for the ship (50 against 500), the turtle (50 against 400) and the ingots (50 against 250). The coin pays 100 and the cards 50 for five. My guess is that the gap is tied to the ACTIVE SYMBOL button and the strip of five symbol icons in the top right corner, but none of these screenshots show what that button does or how the gold symbols are switched on.
Setting a bet on 88 Fortunes
The bar is ACTIVE SYMBOL, a LINE BET with blue arrows, a TOTAL BET and WIN box, then AUTO and SPIN. TOTAL BET is 50 times the line bet: 0.10 makes 5.00 and 0.01 makes 0.50. Above, a full column of jade phoenixes on reel 1 with two wilds next to them paid 0.15 on that 0.50 spin.
