Animal Band: pick an animal and a colour, then watch the pointer spin

There's a countdown on the betting board in Animal Band, a big yellow 22 in the top left, and that's the whole rhythm of the game. You get a short window to place chips, you press CONFIRM, and then the round runs, bet or no bet.

It isn't a slot. The main screen is a round stage in a purple spaceship-looking room. Around the edge stand about two dozen cartoon animals on little pedestals: lions, zebras, penguins and pink owls. Inside them is a track of red, green and yellow segments, and a golden pointer sits in the middle. A BONUS box at the top right shows a multiplier (x0 before the round, x6 and x7 in later shots), and a heart in a box sits at the top left. The bottom bar has a 50 chip, REBET, UNDO, DOUBLE, TOTAL PLAY, WIN and CONFIRM.

The betting board

This is where the money goes. Each animal comes in three colours, and each colour has its own odds. The lion pays 40 in red, 25 in green and 46 in yellow. The zebra pays 20, 12 and 23. The penguin pays 11, 7 and 13, and the owl 7, 4 and 8. Down the right side are a heart at 2, a clown at 26 and what looks like a spade at 2. In this shot there's 100 on the red penguin at 11, and a "Bets sent Successfully" message.

Across the top is a row of past results: a heart or spade over an animal in a coloured ring. My guess is the heart, spade and clown work like banker, player and tie in other animal-wheel games, but nothing on screen spells that out.

Once bets are in, the pointer spins and GOOD LUCK flashes across the stage. The BONUS box reads x7 this time. I'd guess it multiplies the winning odds for that round, but I haven't seen a result screen that shows it.

The old page promised a "huge casino jackpot" for picking the right animals. There's no jackpot counter anywhere in these shots.
