Fortune Tree: at the higher gold bet, the dragon, tiger and horse show up in gold

Change one number and the reels of Fortune Tree look different. In the first screenshot the GOLD SYMBOL box is set to 128 and the dragon, tiger, horse and phoenix are all solid gold. In the second it's 48, and the same animals show up in their normal colours: a green dragon, a striped tiger, a brown horse.

The rest of the screen is Chinese festival decoration. Red lanterns hang on both sides with 吉祥 and 如意 painted on them (both are good-luck wishes), a golden tree glows in a small window above the reels, and ALL WAYS is written down each edge. Four boxes sit over the reels, labelled DRAGON, PHOENIX, TIGER and HORSE, with values from about 5,000 up to about 102,000. They look like extra jackpot counters, one per animal, but nothing in these shots explains how you win them. PLAY stays at 1, so TOTAL PLAY simply matches the gold setting: 128 or 48.

This one paid 40. Golden monkeys land on reels one, two and three (two on the first, one on the second, two on the third), which makes four ways at 10 each. Oddly, the GRAND, MAJOR, MINOR and MINI counters read 0 in this shot and the next, which I can't explain.

243 ways and two sets of prices

The top of this page says wins are paid "from left to right for matching symbols that land on adjacent reels in any position", and it shows a correct and incorrect example. Below that, each animal has a gold and a plain column. The gold dragon pays 300 for five against 30 for the plain one. The gold phoenix pays 180, the gold tiger 125 and the gold horse 100, while all the plain animals pay 30. The monkey pays 88, 15 and 10, the card ranks 15, 10 and 5, and the 8 symbol 8, 3 and 2. The bottom rows are cut off, but one mentions "3 or more consecutive" medallions from the left and "Total Bet X 50".

The old page described a 25-line game with a tree wild and bell scatters. That isn't what's on these screens.
