NTC33 live roulette: the betting grid, the chips and the RM4 minimum

Put a single RM2.50 chip on number 7 and a yellow tag pops up over it: "Bet below table limit". That's the first thing these screenshots teach you about roulette on NTC33. The tables here run from RM4 to RM15,000, and the game won't accept less, so the smallest real bet is RM4, not the 50 sen the chip rack suggests.

This is a live table, not an animated one. The bottom-left corner of the screen is a video feed from the studio, and the rest is a flat, green betting grid you tap on.

The grid and chips

It's a standard single-zero layout: 0 on the left, 1 to 36 in three rows, the three 2 to 1 column bets on the right, then 1st 12, 2nd 12 and 3rd 12, and along the bottom 1-18, EVEN, the black and red boxes, ODD and 19-36.

Under the grid is a chip rack. On the Live Football Roulette table it shows 0.50, 1, 5, 10 and 25; on the Sapphire Room table the rack reads 10, 25, 100, 250 and 1K. To the right are UNDO, a gold DOUBLE (x2) button that turns into REBET after a round, and an icon that looks like it opens the racetrack view. A star on the left seems to be for saved bets. A thin strip under everything lists the last results, red and black.

A round, start to finish

The dark circle in the middle of the bottom edge is the timer. Place your chips before it runs out; once it does, a message reads "Please, wait until the next round starts". A placed bet is acknowledged with a box saying BET CONFIRMED and the amount.

In this set the balance goes from RM47.50 to RM46 and then RM42, so the RM4 bets in these rounds didn't come in. When a number hits, it lights up in yellow on the grid (23, 27 and 32 in different rounds) and the matching outside bets are shaded.

Two tables appear: Live Football Roulette, where the dealer stands in front of a screen of football fixtures, and Sapphire Room Roulette, a darker studio. Both use the same limits.
