Japan Fortune: a daruma scatter and an expanding wild

The wild in Japan Fortune is stubborn. It only shows up on the middle reel.

That sounds like a drawback until you read the paytable. When the wild lands on reel 3 it stretches to fill the whole reel, and any line it helps complete pays three times. So one symbol can touch every line crossing the centre. In the base game that is the whole trick.

The scatter is a red daruma doll. Two of them pay a small amount, three start the feature, and the paytable lists bigger feature entries for four and five. Beside that column is a second one headed "with" the wild, which is where the 27+ and 99+ entries sit.

Three or more dolls from the left give 9 free games. During them, the wild copies itself onto one or two extra reels before the win is counted, and more dolls can extend the round. The same page lists the house rules: 50 lines are compulsory, scatter wins multiply by total bet, only the highest win per line counts, and the most you can win on a paid spin is 50,000 times your bet per line.

The jackpot text is worth reading once: Random, Major and Minor can hit at the end of any game, at random, and the random jackpot contribution is capped at 1.5% of return to player.
