Paris Of The Fast, a night out in old Shanghai

Look at the neon sign on the right of the screen. Read right to left, the characters say 百樂門, the Paramount, the dance hall that was the heart of Shanghai nightlife in the 1930s. That's the whole mood of this game.

The name is a play on Shanghai's old nickname, "the Paris of the East". Around the reels you get red neon, marquee lights and art deco fans of light, all under a dark night sky.

On the reels there's a black vintage car, a lit-up club doorway marked Scatter, and a gold-and-green "Paris of the Fast" logo. The card symbols (10, J, Q, K, A) each carry a little red folding fan. The main characters are photo-style portraits of 1930s city types: a woman with a red flower in her hair, a man in a fedora and a bald man in dark glasses. I've kept those screens off this page because they look like stills of real actors.
